The Natchitoches Campus of Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) will begin offering a Patient Care Technician (PCT) program effective August 20 when classes start for the 2018 fall semester.
New hours to begin June 4 and end Aug. 10
The ceremony will be at the Pentecostals of Alexandria, 2817 Rapides Avenue, Alexandria, La., and it will begin at 2 p.m. Degrees and diplomas will be conferred to more than 200 students from all nine campuses who completed their studies in December 2017 and May 2018.
The classes help individuals prepare for and take the new high school equivalency test (HiSET) and receive a high school equivalency diploma. The HiSET replaced the GED test in 2014.
CLTCC’s nursing faculty and staff are hosting the event to help prepare their seniors for the workforce. More than 100 Practical Nursing students will be in attendance, along with approximately 40 employers and agencies from the health care industry.
