Articulation Agreements
CLTCC has articulation agreements with the following institutions
Through a partnership with LSUA, students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Education, or a Bachelor of Science in Psychology may take general education courses at CLTCC and transfer them to LSUA. Students may attend CLTCC and transfer up to 60 credit hours from CLTCC to LSUA toward one of these degrees. 2+2 students may enroll concurrently at CLTCC and LSUA.
The keys to the agreement included the following:
- Guaranteed Admission: CLTCC students with an Associate of Science in Business Administration and meeting LSUA's admission criteria will be admitted to LSUA's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program.
- Credit Transfer: All 60 credit hours from CLTCC's AS in Business Administration will be accepted and applied towards the LSUA bachelor's degree.
- Degree Requirements: Students must follow the curriculum guide, complete remaining LSUA hours, and meet all catalog requirements, including a 2.0 overall GPA and "C" or higher in specific English and all foundation/major courses.
- Catalog Adherence: CLTCC students will follow the LSUA Catalog in effect at their entry to CLTCC (no earlier than 2019-2020), provided their enrollment at CLTCC is continuous.
- Program Changes & Prerequisite Awareness: Both institutions will notify each other of degree program changes. Students are advised to consult both catalogs for course prerequisites and to send CLEP, AP, or ACT scores directly to LSUA Admissions for credit evaluation.
Through a partnership with Northwestern State University of Louisiana (NSULA), students pursuing undergraduate degrees may begin their studies at CLTCC and transfer to NSULA to complete their baccalaureate programs. Students who earn an Associate degree from a Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 are eligible to transfer to NSULA. Qualifying degrees include the Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science for Transfer (ASLT), Associate of General Studies (AGS), and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) where a defined transfer pathway and course articulation agreement exist. Students who transfer without a completed Associate degree must have at least 30 transferable semester hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. College-level courses included on the Board of Regents' Course Articulation Matrix will transfer when an equivalent is available at NSULA. Transfer students who meet these criteria will be guaranteed admission, with those holding an Associate degree entering at junior standing. Students should note that additional prerequisites and graduation requirements may apply depending on the chosen major.
Through a partnership with Louisiana Christian University (LCU), students may begin their studies at CLTCC and transfer toward completion of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Nursing, or Criminal Justice. Students may attend CLTCC and apply their coursework toward one of these degree programs offered by LCU, either through traditional on-campus study or fully online options. LCU’s programs are designed to provide a rigorous, faith-based education that prepares graduates to lead and serve in their chosen fields. Eligible transfer students may also qualify for the Louisiana Christian University Transfer PTK Scholarships, further expanding access to these high-demand degree pathways.
There are five key points in our agreement with Louisiana Christian University...
- Eligibility for Transfer: LCTCS students are eligible for transfer to Louisiana Christian University (LCU) if they possess an Associate Degree (AS, AAS, AAT) or a technical diploma, both requiring a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
- Guaranteed Admission & Standing: Students with an Associate Degree are guaranteed junior standing, while technical diploma holders are guaranteed appropriate standing. Both groups will be informed of any prerequisites or additional graduation requirements for specific majors.
- Credit Transfer Limit: LCTCS students can transfer up to 60 credit hours, with up to 45 hours potentially being technical or approved military/police academy credits, all applicable towards the Bachelor of Applied Science degree.
- General Education Acceptance: The agreement ensures acceptance of general education requirements and other courses as defined by the state's Board of Regents' Course Articulation Matrix.
- Comprehensive Advising & Outreach: LCU commits to providing pre-transfer advising (online, onsite, telephone) and discipline-specific advising. They will also engage in activities such as transfer conferences, fairs, and campus visits to support LCTCS students, with specific outreach for STEM, Computer, and Business majors.

Students pursuing a two-year or four-year degree are required to take and successfully complete general education courses. Every college or university normally requires students to take general education courses, regardless of the student's major program of study. These courses are often taken early in the program before the student's core degree coursework. The courses are designed to give undergraduates a broad background in all major academic disciplines — mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and composition.
Through a partnership with Loyola University New Orleans, students may complete two years of undergraduate study at CLTCC and transfer to Loyola to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree. Students may transfer to Loyola after earning an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of General Studies, or Associate of Applied Science degree at CLTCC with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and a grade of C or better in each course. Upon transferring, students will complete a minimum of 60 credit hours at Loyola and meet all residency and graduation requirements outlined in the University Bulletin. Students may also take advantage of a discounted online Loyola course, CITY-A196, during their final semester at CLTCC. This 2+2 agreement ensures a smooth transfer process and provides students with personalized academic advising through Loyola’s Online City College.
