Stephanie Finley, U.S. Attorney, United States Department of Justice, and Lieutenant Colonel, United States Air Force (Retired) will deliver the commencement  address at CLTCC’s 2019 Spring Commencement on Thursday, May 16, 2019.
 

The ceremony will be held at the Pentecostals of Alexandria, 2817 Rapides Avenue, Alexandria, Louisiana, and it will begin at 11 a.m. Degrees and diplomas will be conferred to more than 300 students from all eight campuses who completed their studies from July 2018 through May 2019.  In addition, there are 117 graduates that earned their high school equivalency diploma from CLTCC via the WorkReadyU program. CLTCC’s Chancellor stated: “We could not be prouder of our largest graduating class ever and look forward to their positive impact on Central Louisiana’s Workforce.”

 

Attorney Finley was selected by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the United States Senate in 2010.  She served as the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana through 2017.  She was the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for the largest District in the state, 42 of the 64 parishes, charged with the prosecution of criminal cases brought by the Federal Government and the prosecution and defense of civil cases in which the United States was a party.

 

Finley has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Grambling State University and her Law Degree from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
