Course Description
Our Certified Power Line worker training lets you master real-world skills in a hands-on environment, where you'll learn skills like operating industrial vehicles, pole-climbing, cable laying and stringing, line testing and inspecting, and safety procedures. The Power Line Worker course requires 640 clock hours. The optional CDL course requires 240 clock hours.

Eligibility Requirements
- 18 years old by the end of the 14 week cohort
- High School Diploma, HiSET, GED preferred (industry preference)
- Must pass background check and drug screen (for CDL)
- Valid LA Driver's License with no flags
- Student will secure learner's permit prior to starting CDL class
Class Details
- 14 weeks of Power Line Worker, first
- Monday-Thursday, 7am-5:30pm
- 6 weeks of CDL instruction, after Line Worker course
- Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
- Classes are held exclusively at the Alexandria Campus MacArthur site.
- Students may secure CDL license from any campus or another driving school prior to or after Power Line Worker
- Line Worker and CDL are two separate classes, requiring separate student registrations, payments, and financial agreements
