Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarships are a form of financial aid, and they are designed to help college students pay for tuition, fees and/or other expenses while enrolled in school to earn a degree or credential. Scholarships come from a variety of sources - colleges, universities, non-profit groups, private businesses, individual donors, alumni, fundraising, etc. They are awarded to students for a variety of reasons with various requirements.
Below are scholarship opportunities we are posting on behalf of our employer partners and other organizations offering scholarships.
Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) has partnered with CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini for an expanded cohort program designed to fast-track Practical Nursing students into their careers. Five selected students will receive academic support, a direct pathway to employment upon graduation, and up to $25,000 in assistance toward educational debt. Applications open this Fall for eligible students at any stage of the Practical Nursing program. For paper applications, please mail completed applications to:

The MJ Foster Promise Program provides financial assistance to eligible Louisiana residents (21 years or older) who enroll in a qualified program at a two-year public college or university or an approved proprietary school to pursue an associate degree or a shorter-term credential required for certain high-demand, high-wage occupations. Students under age 21 who have already received the award continue to be eligible, provided they meet all program requirements. The Alexandria Business Foundation Scholarship provides multiple endowed scholarship opportunities to students attending, planning to attend, and transferring with an associate degree majoring in a General Business or Accounting program.
The Cleco Power of a Promise Scholarship is available to students looking to enroll in CLTCC's Industrial Manufacturing Technology Program at the Alexandria Campus.
As a Louisiana FFA graduate, you are eligible for a $500 one-time scholarship to an eligible college.
Students can receive up to $2,500 to pursue career or technical education.
As a JAG-LA graduate, you are eligible for a $500 one-time scholarship to an eligible college.
WorkReady U through the Foundation for the Louisiana’s Community and Technical Colleges is providing a way to help students pay for the Louisiana High School Equivalency (HSE) test in either English or Spanish. The scholarship will provide financial support to test candidates that meet the eligibility criteria.
WorkReady U, through the Foundation for Louisiana’s Community and Technical Colleges, is providing financial assistance to WRU graduates who enroll in a LCTCS college.
The Oliver-Lee Commemorative Scholarship Fund was established in 2019. The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students pursuing a degree/certificate in the field of Nursing/Allied Health. Dr. Adrena Lee has donated to the Central Louisiana Technical Community College-Ward H. Nash Avoyelles Campus (CLTCC Avoyelles), and the provisions of this scholarship are consistent with the policies of CLTCCAvoyelles as outlined in the admission requirements.
The POB Fallen Brothers Scholarship is a memorial scholarship in honor of our dear Brothers who have passed away. This scholarship serves as a lasting tribute to their memories and the profound sense of camaraderie they embodied. The POB ONE TIME scholarship will be awarded to a student planning to attend or currently attending the CLECO CLTCC Manufacturing campus. Student must be enrolled full-time in any program offered within CLTCC’s Manufacturing Center: Welding, HVAC, Electrical or Manufacturing.
Provides $1,000 to Jump Start graduates earning both a Jump Start credential and a Louisiana high school diploma. The scholarship supports Louisiana students in obtaining the necessary training to secure industry employment in high-demand, high-income construction crafts and STEM-related fields.
