Alexandria, La., May 25, 2017 — Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) announced today the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) Facilities Corporation has approved Barron Heinberg & Brocato Architects and Ashe Broussard Weinzettle Architects for the college’s new main campus, which will be located downtown in Alexandria. The firms will work together in a joint venture to design the new campus.

The selection of these two diverse, well-qualified firms is an important step in the process of ensuring our ability to meet the evolving needs of our various stakeholders.”
Barron Heinberg and Brocato Architects, headquartered in Alexandria, is one of the largest architectural practices in Louisiana. They have designed a very wide array of projects throughout the state, including numerous facilities at the college and university level. Ashe Broussard Weinzettle Architects, also headquartered in Alexandria, is a design-centered architectural practice that is recognized throughout the region for helping private and public clients focus their resources to develop innovative design solutions.
The design work is scheduled to begin in early June with construction commencing in the first quarter of 2018.
