CLTCC offering General Education Courses this summer for under $350 thanks to scholarship funding

Alexandria, La., June 1, 2017 — Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) announced today that students requiring General Education Courses such as college English, History, Algebra, Sociology, and Psychology can enroll at CLTCC this summer and earn credits toward their college degree, saving time and money.  CLTCC is offering several General Education Courses for under $350 thanks to scholarship funding.

Beginning this summer, and for a limited time, students can apply for a $250 scholarship when enrolling in a three credit-hour General Education Course.  Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and recipients can only receive one scholarship per session or semester.

Courses are available in multiple formats:  Face to face, compressed video, hybrid, and online through any CLTCC campus.  Also, for the first time, students can take courses in downtown Alexandria at LSUA’s Allied Health Building (807 Jackson Street) and in Natchitoches and Many.

Classes start June 1 and June 12 and end on July 20 and July 31, depending on the course.  

Students pursuing bachelor’s and associate degrees are required to take General Education Courses regardless of the major course of study.  The purpose is to help develop students earn their degree and go directly into the workforce upon graduation.
