Courses & Training

IMMT AC/DC Fundamentals

This course has been specifically developed to give studens the knowledge and skills required to enable them to work safely and effectively with electricity. The lab components of the training offer the student the opportunity to build, test and troubleshoot AC/DC circuits and examine the operating voltages and currents related to proper circuit operation. Students will use various instruments to make circuit measurements and calculations.

This class is 5 days/40 hours

IMMT Machining I

This course will include both instruction and hands-on application. The course will include instruction on proper use of measuring devices; proper machine safety; basic functions and purpose of lathe; basic part set-up, speed and feed using 3-jaw and 4-jaw independent chucks/machine shafts.

This class is 5 days/40 hours

IMMT Mechanical level I

The course covers the installation, use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical drive components and systems. The curriculum is divided into assorted topics which deal with the components encountered in industry. The learning is based on practical, hands-on tasks to build knowledge in operating and maintaining these vital systems.

This class is 5 days/40 hours

IMMT CNC

This course is an introduction to computer numerical control (CNC) operations. The course includes an emphasis on CNC procedures for planning, preparing, and manufactuing a part. An introduction to CNC programming using "G" and "M" codes will be inlcuded.

This class is 5 days/40 hours

IMMT Fluid Power-Hydraulics

Basic principles of hydraulics and valves (pressure relief, flow control, flow regulating, pressure reducing, and directional control valves). Basic control of cylinders (directions and speed, pressure and force). Basic hydraulic circuits (meter-in/meter-out configurations, regeneration circuit, sequential circuit).

This class is 5 days/40 hours

IMMT Mechanical Level II

Identify and install wedge and notched wedge v-belts, synchronous and high torque synchronous belts and idler pulleys/identify and install helical and miter gears, disassemble a gearbox and identify its main parts.

This class is 5 days/40 hours

IMMT Basic Instrumentation

Working with a PLC efficiently requires a strong familiarity with the specifics of the programming enviroment and languages. This is exactly the purpose of this course. This training program allows students to acquire hands-on experience with industrial control equipment. Realistic examples are used to motivate students to attain the skills needed to work with PLC-controlled systems.

This class is 5 days/ 40 hours

IMMT Machining II

The mechanical system course covers the installation, use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical drive components and systems. The curriculum is divided into diverse topics: bearings and seals, shaft alignment and couplings, ball and screw linear bearing, clutches, and brakes, all which deal with the components encountered in industry. The learning is based on practical, hand-on tasks to build know-how in operating and maintaining these vital systems.
